Coach Jonathan Kelly said about Nelson's success, " He is a great character in the club on and off the court. Nelson is a hard worker and loves the game. It is very easy to collect early success, such as representing the mens squad, and think you have made it. Nelson has kept working and is getting his reward".
Rory Wheatcroft, who is just entering his 3rd season with the club also got selected in the squad. Coach Jonathan Kelly said " Things are going well for Rory. He was a star in our first friendly of the year, and he played a major role in our success last season. He is a delight to coach, and always wants to learn, something the East Midland coaches should look forward to". Rory who was recently announced as the new junior captain commented on his selection, " I am very proud of my selection, and its great to represent the club. There was alot of talented players at the trial and i am delighted to be in the squad. I know there is still hard work to come but i am ready to work hard and hopefully make the next stage".
Coach Jonathan Kelly commented on the pairs success, " It is great to think that the two lads we see week in week out have had the success and rewards of making the squad. They still have work to do, but i rate these two boys very highly as they are a pleasure to work with. They always work hard to improve and never settle for second best. I hope the younger players in the club see this and adopt their mentality".
