Arrows edged out by experienced Mets

Birmingham Mets 96 Arrows 77

The Arrows scored consistently throughout the game against the Mets but narrowly lost every quarter against an impressive and experienced Mets team by 96 – 77. RB Clyburn iii led all scorers in the game with 32 while Akin Lisk – Carew and Andy Chiguri both impressed with 14. Sam Spare again led the Arrows defence well supported by Joseph Baugh.

The Arrows showed a lot of grit and spirit in the second half at one point getting within 8 of the Mets as Kelly and Purnell combined for a basket, however the experience of the Mets frustrated the Arrows.

The margin of victory flatters the Mets but they were well deserving of the victory overall as they shot very well throughout the game.

The Arrows coaches were happy with the effort of the Arrows young team. Birmingham Mets will prove at home to be one of the divisions toughest teams.
