The Derbyshire Arrows are delighted to announce two new signings for the 2011/12 campaign. The new signings are Joseph Baugh and Louis Francis-Edge who last year played Sheffield Sharks and Sheffield Sabres respectively. The two 19 year olds played in the same junior system at the Junior Sharks and look to combine their talents in division 2 next year wearing an Arrows jersey.
In an interview with Louis he says "i feel good about joining the club, its a good family club, i've been wanting to play at a high division and i'm looking forward to working with the coach". "I played division 3 last year and moving up only seems like a better option and if we can keep moving up in stages at a time, we can end up at the top". "I think were putting together a nice squad and if we can pull it all together i see a top half finish. I believe we have the charisma, the confidence and the attitude to hit new heights".
Joseph Baugh is enjoying his life at the Arrows so far, "I'm glad i've signed for the club, i've enjoyed myself so far". Joseph talked about his motivations to play with the Killamarsh based club, " I want a real chance to play and improve my game, and try to make my transition from a big man to a guard". " i think its going to be tricky for us, we have alot of young players, so we will have to work well as a team. I think we will do well, im hoping for a top half finish, although wouldn't mind winning the league!".
Both of the new signings will be on show for the Arrows faithful as the mens team take on Team USA Select in a weeks time.
